Lovelace
As the daughter of the village midwife, Beth is a social outcast. When a thirsty gentleman knocks on her door, Beth gives him a mug of ale. In her loneliness, Beth wishes to make a friend of the young man, but he is disinterested, almost oblivious to her. Longing for connection, she adds a drop of love potion to his mug. When eventually the young gentleman falls in love with Beth, she does not know if his love can be trusted or if it the work of the love potion.
Meet Emily
Emily spent her childhood reading, having tea parties, and imagining she existed in another century. While pleased to live in a time when chamber pots are obsolete, she loves researching a bygone world full of hardships both foreign and relatable. With a degree in humanities, writing melds her interests in history, art, and literature. Fortunate to find a spouse equally afflicted with wanderlust, Emily and her husband travel whenever and wherever they can. They live with their children and Labradoodle in Utah, where she enjoys mountain views and hiking but pretends to love skiing.
